Meet the Artist!

Meet the Artist.png

Heyo! My name is Melissa "Mali" Fauci! I'm a non-binary 2D animator/character/and concept artist who loves to share stories and new ideas about my many characters!

I graduated from Suffolk County Community College in the field of art and animation, and am currently taking online classes at Full Sail University for Game Art. I made the Deans list in both schools as well.

As of today, I work part-time in retail as a toy associate in Walmart. My goal is to become a 2D animator for games or shows. And since I have a lot of experience with other forms of art, I could potentially do Freelance work.

Most of my art consists of a 2D, cartoon style which surround my own original stories. I have hundreds of characters, animal creatures, species, and planets of my own. Each one with their own unique history and backstory. I tell these stories through my art, animations, and hopefully future comics.

Fanart is another thing I enjoy making. Whether it be from a video game, TV show, movie, or another artists I admire, I draw out my own version of the characters and events using my cartoon-like style. I do this mostly to show the creators that their work inspires me a lot.

I make all kinds of art ranging from traditional media of ink and copic markers, to digital media. (Though it's mostly digital) I work with programs in the Adobe Creative Cloud, like Photoshop, Animate, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and a bit of Illustrator. As well as having experience with 3D programs such as Maya (for modeling and animation), Substance Painter and Substance Designer (for creating textures and applying them to 3D models), as well as working with the Unreal Engine (To put together environments and video game assets).
